Host and executive producer Maxayn Gooden is the Credible Messenger Community Manager at PCGVR. She interviews and facilitates conversations with other members of the survivor community in Philadelphia, taking the time to share their experiences in a safe place and in exceptional depth. Their Credible Messenger Reporting Project was created to report on root causes, lived experience and possible solutions to gun violence from the community perspective.

Quinn Patton
My guest is Quinn Patton, the father of my son who was innocently murdered during Thanksgiving break 2017.
This is the first conversation like this we’ve had.
He will share his experience as a father losing a son, but also the importance of Black men allowing themselves to feel and understand it’s okay to ask for help.
